“Into The Void” An Unparalleled Pedestal of Contemporary Abstract Art at Icosahedron Gallery More...
Thérèse Boisclair is an international artist whose monolithic watercolor works thread together conceptual practices with material practices, excavating memory and lived experience in order to distill the essences of these immaterial events into translucent images that glow, vibrate, and reverberate together in unexpected and magical ways. For thousands of years, art of all kinds have been created to provoke various emotions.
This is with this philosophy that I invite you to share the emotions that my paintings may inspire in you.
For almost 20 years, I concentrated on discovering watercolor and its many techniques. I was especially interested in portraying the many street scenes and local architecture discovered while traveling in Provence (France).
Over the la two years, I explored a number of medium and techniques. While experimenting with acrylics painting of tissue paper, I discovered colors and shapes moving with fluidity on fragile paper. The abstract results are always unexpected and quite stunning

Encouraged by receiving the award Coup de coeur du Jury at the Gatineau en Couleurs art show in October 2008 and the Bronze medal for the Abstract Category at another art show in Montreal, I decided to further explore the possibilities offered by this technique.

Each painting, original or reproduction have a Certificate of Authenticity signed and mark with a seal. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions, comments or suggestions you may have.
